Osteoporosis is a common bone disease that affects all ages and populations. Osteoporosis is more prevalent in Caucasian and Asian females. It often goes undetected until a fracture occurs. Osteoporosis is a public health threat for over 44 million Americans, 68 percent of whom are women.
