The AMA's Government Relations Internship Program (GRIP) assists selected students who are completing summer health policy internships in the Washington, D.C. area. Selected as one of 10 AMA GRIP participants this year, Monalisa Tailor, a second-year medical student at the University of Louisville, is interning in the office of Senator Mitch McConnell. Ms. Tailor was recently elected as the President of the UL KMA/AMA Medical Student Section. In addition to the duties of their internships, GRIP participants attend weekly educational seminars at the AMA's Washington, DC, office. Kentucky
