An estimated 47 million Americans, including more than 9 million children are living without health care coverage. Moreover, eight out of 10 are at work. And, the cost of providng their emergency care is passed on to others in the form of higher premiums, estimated at 17 to 20 percent. For the 6th year in a row, from April 27 - May 3, under the leadership of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Americans will pause to call attention to this national issue. Any number of states around the country are mobilizing to address this concern.
